Summer 2013

Member Survey - have you done yours yet?

Did you complete the CAA member survey? If so - thanks! If not, we are wrapping up this week. Please take a few moments to use the personalized link sent to you via e-mail to participate. Your feedback and opinions help shape your association's mission, goals, agendas and advocacy.

If you no longer have your personalized e-mail link, CLICK HERE and we will send you a new one. Our principal contact at each firm should have received a direct invitation last month.

Look for survey results in our Fall newsletter.

Still time to help in flood recovery efforts

The CAA hopes all clients, industry partners, friends, and family in Southern and Central Alberta emerge as unscathed as possible from the floods.

Although many people have stepped forward to assist in recovery efforts, there is still much to be done.

Please contact the Canadian Red Cross for information on how you can donate to the flood relief and recovery efforts. You may also visit Calgary Helps to offer immediate assistance.

Industry consultation on two step bid evaluation process - your input sought

The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises has invited the members of the CAA to participate in an industry consultation on the Two Step Bid Evaluation Process. This process is a new PWGSC approach to procurement currently being piloted, which would allow non-compliant bidders a second chance to demonstrate compliancy for mandatory criteria.

Participants have the option to attend a webinar on August 1 and/or submit their feedback via an online questionnaire.

Shout out to CAA sponsors!

Did you know that member dues for the CAA cover only a portion of our operating costs? In order to keep our membership dues at an accessible level for firms of ALL sizes, we reach out to the corporate community for help in supporting our association. Our annual sponsorship campaign offers industry-related companies an opportunity to position themselves as key supporters and promoters of a prosperous design industry in Alberta.

This is the time of year when we renew most of our annual sponsorships, and solicit new ones. It's also a great opportunity to once again show our appreciation for this crucial support.

HUGE THANK YOU goes out to those sponsors (listed to the right) who have supported the CAA for the past year.

Show YOUR appreciation to our sponsors!

We encourage all of our member firms to show their appreciation to our sponsors. Next time you are talking with any of these companies, please take a moment to let them know you are aware of their support for CAA and that this support makes a big difference.
