Project submission deadline

The themes of the competition are “the VZDS’s 30th Anniversary and/or Renewable Energy.” Individuals or teams are able to work with different light materials, ice sculptures or any other creative ideas to design a winter light themed exhibit that either celebrates the Valley Zoo Development’s Society’s 30th year of supporting the Edmonton Valley Zoo and/or showcases renewable or alternative energy methods in its construction.

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC), the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), and the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) announce that entries are now being accepted for the 2018 National Urban Design Awards.
The National Urban Design Awards (NUDA) is a biennial Canadian awards program that showcases excellence in urban design and raises public awareness of the important role of urban design in sustainability and quality of life in Canadian cities.

The Government of Alberta, in cooperation with the Canada Green Building Council – Alberta Chapter (CaGBC) and the Canadian Consulate in Los Angeles, is supporting Alberta companies interested in participating in a business program to showcase their products and capabilities at the International Builder’s Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 19-21, 2019. IBS is the largest annual residential and light construction show in the world. Each year, the show attracts more than 60,000 visitors from over 100 countries.
